A tracking unit is a device that uses the Global Positioning System to detect the precise location of a car, person, or another object it is attached to and to record that location at regular intervals. The recorded location data can be retained in the self tracking unit or communicated to a central location server via an embedded cellular (GPRS or SMS) modem connected to the Internet. Our Fleet managers obtain information that aids them in addressing issues such as accountability, compliance, efficiency, and safety.
